Imagine a small concert venue between sets. A fan pauses beside the merchandise table, spots an iPad, and reads a sign: “Free spin. Pick up a little show-night souvenir.”
The host explains the giveaway, the fan spins, and the wheel lands on “Mini Poster.” A poster changes hands, a conversation starts about the artwork, and the next person steps forward. That is one way you could turn a quiet corner of an event into a small experience of its own.
Build the activity around inexpensive items you already have permission to give away. Try these eight labels, repeating each one twice on a 16-panel wheel:
Use only the entries that fit your event, budget, and available stock. Replace the others before guests arrive. An artist could use original artwork across the souvenirs; a trade-show exhibitor could choose useful branded items. These are suggested prizes for your team to supply.
For this example, joining is free and does not require a purchase, donation, or marketing signup. Have the organizer approve the giveaway format and the rules before you run it. Post the participation details and any limits where guests can read them.
Choose one host to invite visitors, read results aloud, and hand out prizes. Place the device and giveaway supplies within reach, with a clear route past the table. Let guests ask the host to operate the device if that is easier for them.
Check the inventory before each round. If a prize runs out, pause and update the wheel and posted details before inviting more spins. Repeating a label is a layout choice; do not promise a particular winning frequency or use the wheel as an inventory guarantee.
Keep an upcoming-show card or a small display of your main products nearby. A visitor who wants to browse can do so after collecting the souvenir. Someone who only wants to enjoy the spin can leave with a friendly goodbye.
The same setup can fit a festival tent, community event, or trade-show booth. Change the artwork and prizes to suit the audience rather than treating every event as the same campaign.
